Returns & Refund Policy
This policy applies to all purchases from VinShield UK Ltd, including replacement VIN stickers, B-pillar/door labels, windscreen VIN labels, chassis/VIN plates and any vehicle identification labels we manufacture.
1) Made-to-Order & Personalised Products
Most products we supply are made-to-order using the vehicle information you provide (VIN, weights, dates, model data, layout notes, etc.). Because these items are personalised and prepared specifically for your vehicle, they are not suitable for resale.
Custom order cancellation & refunds
- Change of mind: we do not accept returns or refunds on personalised / made-to-specification items.
- After production begins: orders cannot be cancelled once artwork preparation, engraving or printing has started.
- Faulty items: if there is a verified manufacturing defect, we will offer a remedy (see section 4).
2) Manufacturer Logos, Trademarks & “Same as Original” Requests
We do not reproduce manufacturer logos, brand marks or protected trademarks. Your label/plate is supplied in an OEM-style format without manufacturer branding, and we are not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer.
- Refunds are not offered because a customer expected an OEM logo.
- Our products are replacement identification labels/plates, not factory-branded replicas.
- This approach supports responsible supply and helps reduce vehicle cloning and fraud risk.
3) Customer-Supplied Details & Proofing
You are responsible for checking all vehicle details before submitting your order. We manufacture using the details provided, including any spelling, digits, spacing and formatting choices.
- Incorrect VIN / weights / dates / codes entered: not eligible for refund.
- Approval: if a proof is supplied, your approval confirms the layout and data are correct before manufacture.
- Ownership checks: we may request proof of ownership/authority before production on certain orders.
Missing details (sizes, layout notes, specification info)
If required information is not supplied (for example: dimensions, layout information, equipment codes, weights, or plate style notes), we will proceed using one of the following methods:
- Auto-filled: populated using typical/specification data from a similar model/variant where reasonably appropriate.
- Left blank: if data cannot be verified reliably, the relevant field(s) may be left blank.
- Default formatting: standard layout/typography may be used where no layout instruction is provided.
Orders are not refundable where missing information results from details not supplied at checkout.
4) Faults, Damage in Transit & Our Remedy
If your item arrives damaged or you believe there is a genuine manufacturing fault, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and clear photos.
- Manufacturing defect confirmed: we will typically replace the item (fastest solution).
- Transit damage: we may replace once carrier claims evidence is provided.
- Incorrect item supplied by us: we will replace/correct at our cost.
5) Installation & Surface Preparation
Installation is the customer’s responsibility. Many of our products use permanent adhesives and security materials. Once applied, they may be non-removable without damage.
- We recommend test positioning first (where possible) and ensuring the surface is clean/dry.
- Professional fitting is recommended for certain plates/labels.
- Incorrect fitting does not qualify for a refund.

7) Anti-Vehicle Crime & Cloning Prevention
VinShield UK Ltd supports efforts to reduce vehicle cloning, fraud and misuse of identification markings. For this reason:
- We do not reproduce manufacturer trademarks/logos.
- We may request proof of ownership/authority (for example V5C, invoice, insurer/garage paperwork) before production.
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel suspicious orders and issue an appropriate refund where no manufacture has taken place.
This helps ensure our products are supplied responsibly for legitimate repairs, restorations, imports and compliance needs.
